Pumpkin Pickin'

A few weeks ago, Kyle decided last minute that we could go to Wichita to meet the rest of the family for a day at the pumpkin patch. It was a great surprise for me because I LOVE pumpkin patches and spending time with my nieces and nephews.

They took us to the Apple Jack Pumpkin Patch, and it was the coolest one I've ever been to! They had all kinds of things for the kids to do. Several trains to ride, big slides, a zip line, corn mazes and, Kyle's favorite, a pumpkin cannon. It was a great time watching the boys run around, having fun and laughing. And by boys, I mean Henry, Conner and Kyle. They did everything together, except the trains since Kyle exceeded the weight limit. :) Overall, I would say Kyle's first visit to the pumpkin patch was a success! Let's hope there's many more in our future.

These two have so much fun together!

Such a selection!

We weren't very impressed with the food, so Kyle decided to eat two lunches and his BBQ looked much better than our burgers and hot dogs.

Waiting patiently for the train.

They got to sit up front AND ring the bell!

Finding our way through the corn maze. (Sorry to let you down, but I do not have a baby bump, this jacket just isn't very flattering.)

Love these ladies!

I am pretty sure this is considered cheating, but it made it really easy to spot where Henry was.

The first trip down was supervised, but we let the boys go by themselves after that.

And the adults got in on the fun, too.

You won't find Ella in any of these pictures and that's because it was quite windy and a little cool. So she slept comfortably in her stroller.

And then it was time for the pumpkin cannon!

Which was a little loud for Henry.

Conner wasn't phased. "Is it my turn yet?!"

And then it was Kyle's turn...

On the way to the pumpkin patch, the boys got to walk the balance beam and do a little climbing.

Made it to the top!

Kyle had to have his picture taken so we could see how tall he was this year.

We hung out with Kyle's mom and Ella while the rest of them picked out pumpkins. Here they are with their loot.

And now to try and get a picture of Henry with his pumpkin.

And I guess we'll settle for this. Henry told me earlier in the day that he was little so he was going to get a little pumpkin, and I was big so I should get a big pumpkin. I asked him what size Oliver should get and he said, "not little."

Riding the trailer back to the car.

Goodbye hugs!

Luckily this little girl woke up before we had to head home, so we got to soak in some precious smiles before hitting the road!

What a foxy wardrobe choice!

Even Uncle Kyle got in on the love fest.

A sure sign you've had a full, fun-filled day!
