Foxes invade Stillwater

Image
We’ve had two somewhat surprise visits from the Fox family recently. It’s been great to have them in town and to get to see our ever-growing nephews and niece.  The first ones to visit were Greg, Stacie, Henry and Ella. They came down to get their car worked on and had time to squeeze in lunch while they were here. It was a great pick-me-up, even if Kyle was busy working and couldn’t join us. When I sat down, Ella reached out for me and wanted me to hold her. She did the exact same thing with Kyle, which Stacie said was strange. I guess that rarely happens these days since she’s become a bit of a momma’s girl. She’s growing up so fast. She’s started baby food and managed to swallow a few bites of carrots during lunch. It's not her favorite thing. She’s also crawling all over the place and starting to pull up on things!  Henry is a total chatterbox these days. He asked me all kinds of questions like how my day was, where I work, will I ever come sleep over at his

Happy Home

This week marks five whole years in our house! It’s gone by fast and we’ve squeezed lots of life into that time period. It’s been fun to watch the house change as we’ve: Upgraded our electrical   Added a new front door   Improved our curb appeal   Transformed our side yard   Replaced our water heater   Bought new appliances Replaced our air conditioner (that one hurt!) Got new, WORKING garage doors…FINALLY The list goes on and on. This past year we’ve done lots of thinking about where our future will take us. We love our home and the general location but still don’t see it as our forever house. There for a while, we thought we’d move out before celebrating our 5 th anniversary here. We even started casually house hunting but were pretty unimpressed with what was out there in our price range and on our side of town. The more we talk about it, the more satisfied I am with where we’re at.  When we bought the house in 2010, we knew it had plenty of space for us to

Mother's Day in Ponca

We started off our Mother's Day this year by going to LifeChurch. We've been attending the 8:30 a.m. service for quite a while now, and we love it. It's a great way to start your Sunday, and several couples from our life group attend that service as well, so it's good to see them there, too. Our life group is growing pretty rapidly these days, mainly because people keep having kids! There are five kids under the age of one so there's never a dull moment! Three of these kiddos were dedicated on Mother's Day, so most of the group came that morning to show our support. It was just a small part of the service, but it was great to be there and to see all of the people praying for these little ones.  ALMOST everyone (minus the Jarboes, Woodses, Jeremy and several little ones) After church, we headed to Ponca to spend the day with Momma Fox. Everyone but Greg and Stacie was able to make it, and it was nice to get together as a family. Even though it was Mother
