Finally, a niece!

On January 7, I fell in love with a little girl named Quinn, Quinn Perrie Ward, to be exact. The morning after her due date, Stacy went to get checked out and ended up checking into the hospital! All day long she and Mom were sending me updates. Things seemed to progress pretty slowly until about 6:30 and then they really got moving. Quinn made her grand entrance into the world at 8:02 p.m. weighing 8 lbs. 15.4 oz. and measuring 20 1/2 in. long. When Kyle and I got to the hospital, Asher was FULL of energy. He was pretending to be a deer and climbing all over Uncle Kyle. I don't blame him for being excited. We were all so glad to meet the little lady. Before we left for the night, Asher had calmed down a little and was singing to her. It was so cute. I can't remember the song, but it was something upbeat like 'Oh Suzanna.' (I'm not sure where that came from.) Kyle and I got to come back the next morning for some snuggles before heading to work.

Ballin' Out

Don't worry, I'm not referring to the Urban Dictionary's definition of ballin' out. (To spend exorbitant amounts of money. Usually within the confines of one ridiculously drunken evening.) I happen to be referring to one of the best birthday parties I've ever attended. Who knew turning two could be so much fun?! Since he's a New Year's Eve baby, it can get a little hectic trying to fit everything in, but Stacie always does a great job making the day special. The theme for this year's party was "having a BALL". Henry loves playing with balls and spots them everywhere he goes, even in the grocery store (avocados look like footballs to me, too, Henry!), so it was a perfect choice. Stacie had ball decorations and a ball-themed menu featuring the basketball birthday cake, but my absolute favorite part was the ball pit. They took an inflatable swimming pool and fi

Merry and Bright

Christmas and New Years have come and gone, and I can hardly believe it. We spent lots of time with family and had plenty of time to relax and enjoy each other. Here's a little photo journey of our holiday celebrations. The Christmas celebration started with Christmas Eve Game Night over at Josh and Stacy's. It wasn't actually Christmas Eve, but it was our Christmas Eve.   Tyrus and Lisa let Asher open his gift early so he would have something to entertain him while we all played bunco.   Between that and the tablet, he was pretty much set for the entire night! :)  Turns out I was having an AMAZING night! Five buncos and three minis in a row! The others didn't seem to appreciate it as much as I did, but it was wonderful!  That next morning we woke up and opened presents as soon as the Wards got there.  Asher loves hanging out with Aunt Lisa.  Maple and Scout got to join in on the fun, too.   And then it was ti
