Merry and Bright

Christmas and New Years have come and gone, and I can hardly believe it. We spent lots of time with family and had plenty of time to relax and enjoy each other. Here's a little photo journey of our holiday celebrations.
The Christmas celebration started with Christmas Eve Game Night over at Josh and Stacy's. It wasn't actually Christmas Eve, but it was our Christmas Eve.

Tyrus and Lisa let Asher open his gift early so he would have something to entertain him while we all played bunco.

Between that and the tablet, he was pretty much set for the entire night! :)

Turns out I was having an AMAZING night! Five buncos and three minis in a row! The others didn't seem to appreciate it as much as I did, but it was wonderful!

That next morning we woke up and opened presents as soon as the Wards got there.

Asher loves hanging out with Aunt Lisa.

Maple and Scout got to join in on the fun, too.

And then it was time for the opening to begin. Unfortunately not all of the presents had animals in them. :)

But luckily his next present was full of animals!

I loved my new boots, and Asher did, too.

Unfortunately he couldn't run that well in them so Scout caught up with him.

On actual Christmas Day we had brunch over at Grandpa's and then joined the rest of the family later that afternoon at Terry and Cheryl's.  Isn't Fenley the most adorable little thing?!

Like every year, we read the Christmas story before the Dirty Santa gift exchange began.

We were missing a few families, but we had a full house.

 Mom and Dad

The day after Christmas Kyle and I headed back to work for a few days. Then the following weekend we headed to Rose Hill to celebrate with the Fox family.

The boys liked tearing into their presents.

 Conner made record time!

They had quite the audience! What did we do for entertainment on Christmas before the boys got here?! They were so much fun to watch.

Then the adults opened their gifts, and we all got a big surprise when Greg and Stacie gave Grandma and Grandpa an ultrasound photo! Baby Fox will be here this summer, and we can hardly wait. It took a while for the news to sink in with everyone, but a few seconds later, we were all smiling, hugging and shouting congratulations!

Grandma made us all afghan blankets again this year. We love cuddling up in them all year long and thinking of her each and every time.

While the girls put the finishing touches on lunch, Papa wrangled the little ones. And got them ALL worked up! :)

I love this picture of Henry and Kyle. They're quite the little cheese balls!
The boys love their grandparents and Henry loved his truck. He carried it around all day, except when he let it out of his sight. Then Conner would pick it up and Henry would chase after him. Boys will be boys!

Despite all of the craziness around him, Conner was in his own little world with his trucks. I love that sweet boy!

Then Henry found Uncle Kyle's shoes.

And decided to be silly. He started saying peek-a-boo while we were there. It was the cutest thing ever.

When the little boys went down for a nap, Kyle and Greg left to play basketball. When Kyle came hobbling in three hours later, I didn't think we were going to make it to dinner, but we did. Who wants to eat when you can drive trains and gators?

I think here Uncle Kyle was begging Henry not to play with his talking truck on the way home. I believe his words were, "That's just unnecessary noise."

We wrapped up the holiday season celebrating New Years in Stillwater with our life group. It's been so much fun getting to know these great people over the last several months and we are so thankful to be living life with them.

Amanda made a delicious cookie cake for Raychel and Audrey, the belated birthday girls!

The girls chatted in the living room while Audrey schooled the boys on how to play poker.

We ended the night playing games and sharing some laughs. What a great way to welcome in a new year!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. God has already blessed us with some wonderful things in 2014, and I can't wait to share them with you. Thanks for stopping by to see what's going on in our little corner of the world.
