Catch-Up

Sorry I've been a little delinquent with the blog this past week. With the students starting school again my work schedule has been busier than normal and by the end of the day, all I want to do is relax. On top of that, Kyle and I have had busy weekends, which is a double-edged sword. It's great because we've been able to do some really fun things with the people we love, but bad because we haven't had a chance to recharge our batteries and just sit around doing nothing. So to catch you up, here are some things that have been going on in our lives: 1. My boss is back from maternity leave! I am SUPER excited about this one, not just because it means a lightened work load for me, but also because I really enjoy working with her. She injects a little youth into our working environment and is a great sounding board for me, and I really missed her while she was gone. 2. God Provides

This past week was an interesting one that has definitely shown us just how blessed we are. After several months of long days, frustrating circumstances and poorly communicated changes, Kyle decided to quit his job. I am so proud that he the courage to make a change even though it meant some insecurity for a while. Thankfully, he started a new job at Ron Shirley today! That's a GMC dealership in Stillwater, so if you're looking for a car/truck/SUV, give Kyle a call and he can find you one. :) There are several perks to this position, but the one I'm most excited about is th

If it's possible for a weekend to be busy yet relaxing at the same time, that's exactly what our weekend was. On Thursday night I attended a scholarship dinner in Enid. What a great event! It reminded me once again how thankful I am to work for the Foundation, a place that enables people to make a difference in the world by helping others. It's so refreshing to be a part of something like that, and I get paid on top of that! AMAZING. But anyway, since I was close to home, I decided to take Friday off and spend it with my sister and nephew, who have recently moved back to Hennessey while my sister's husband goes to school. Asher is 10 months old today, and I don't think it's possible for him to be any cuter! His first word (besides mom and dad) is hat. It's the only thing he knows how to say, but he is sup
