Fall Favorites

Even though I am back to blogging, I'm still not into a steady rhythm just yet. Ideally, I would post once a week, but I haven't been doing that, so I have a bit of catch-up to do. Here are some highlights from the last few months that I haven't had the time to share.  We continued or Homecoming Walkaround tradition with the Lesters and the Mortons this year.   We invited the O'Rears to join in on the fun! We weren't able to convert these OU grads, but we did have a great time. And Caroline did so well!   We were excited to get our nursery furniture in, thanks to the generosity of our parents. We put the crib together right away, before cleaning out that room. When you could barely walk in there, we decided to take a few weekends to get the nursery in order. Oliver wasn't quite sure about our plans.  Out for a walk on a beautiful fall day.   The Murphy House crew on Halloween. It was a Hawaiian theme for most of us....

Fast, Furious February

Image
February flew by, and, to be honest, I don't remember a lot of details at this point. So, you are getting one quick post that updates you on the whole month. Although I don't remember specifically what we did every weekend in February, I do know that we had lots to celebrate and many great evenings with wonderful friends.  I started the month off with a quick trip to Hennessey. Quinn and Olivia play so well together!   Then, we continued our tradition of watching the Super Bowl over at the Morton's. Things are a bit different now that there are two little girls in the picture, but Kyle LOVED playing in Blakely's tent with Morgan!  ...or by himself  Kyle turned the big 3-1 on the 9th. We celebrated with a birthday dinner at Kyoto's with Tom, Krystal and Mark.  We were surprised, honored and THRILLED to be the guests of Mike and Anne Greenwood on the night they were inducted into the OSU Alumni Hall of Fame. I am so in awe o...

The Suite Life

Image
Kyle and I love going to OSU football games. He can't attend them all, so we don't have season tickets, but we were lucky enough to get to go to all the night games this year. They were all great, but one game definitely stands out above the rest. That game was the Baylor game. The reason why we'll never forget it is because we watched it with good friends from the suite level. We've never had that opportunity before, and it was such a fun experience. We met up with them before the game and got serenaded by the OSU Marching Band.   O-State!  It was chilly, but we left the windows open to hear all of the excitement! Kyle sat on the front row, and there were a few times when I thought he might fall over the edge.  And before the game was over, we got another visit from the band!  The game didn't end the way we wanted it to, but we left with smiles on our faces and even more OSU spirit. We are so grateful for Mik...

Goodbye, October

Image
October came and went before we knew it. Here are some of the highlights from the second half of the month.  I got to go speak to the Student Foundation about what I do. It's been about five years since I was the adviser of that group. I had forgotten how much I missed it.   Oliver and I took advantage of some beautiful weather and got lots of walks in.   We celebrated Homecoming as always with good food, good friends and Walkaround.   And finished the night with some marshmallow roasting.  We went for a cruise and met part of the family in Winfield for a fun Sunday afternoon.   And for the first time, I was invited to the Morgan Manor for Halloween!   Mom and Dad came to Stillwater for a play. It was my idea since we've never done that before, but this was Kyle's reaction afterward, so I don't think it will be our new tradition. ...
