Thankful
I was extra thankful this Thanksgiving because I was able to spend a full week vacationing from work to hang out with family. My Hennessey baby shower was the weekend before and, with Zach and Maegan in town, I thought that was the perfect excuse to take a few days off.
As it turns out, Maegan wasn't able to come until late Wednesday night. However, Tyrus and Lisa were in town earlier in the week, so we got lots of quality sibling time in. Below are some photos from the week.
Overall, it was a great holiday. We did miss spending time with these folks, though, who were celebrating elsewhere that day.

Zach and Dad spent their mornings and evenings hunting. Fortunately, Zach got a buck while he was in town! He took it by the Wards to show them, and Quinn was very interested in it. She KEPT asking about it days later and would do her "deer face" for us, sticking her tongue out just like his was.
There is nothing that this little girl loves more than her Mommy and her Mamo. Which is wonderful, but hard for Aunt Abby! She does not get excited to see anyone who may take her out of their arms. Fortunately, though, we got a little bonding time during the week. We even spent a morning outside all by ourselves!
Lisa was working on making stockings for her family, so we had Mom's stockings out. Quinn thought they belonged on her feet, of course.
If Uncle wasn't hunting or getting beat up by Asher, he was listening to Quinn beg for a 4-wheeler ride. Every now and then, he would give in!
Mom and Dad recently finished adding on to their house. It turned out great, and this was our first chance to use it. As you can tell, they are still working on furnishing everything, but the kids LOVED having some extra space to run around and play. That's Asher in the Christmas tree box.
Asher spent lots of time outside one afternoon and was so excited for us to come out and see his masterpiece.
He had set up a little hunting shop outside. He is getting so big! He can read, and write, and he even alphabetized the stockings for me when I asked him to. How did this happen? (As you can tell, he has a little work to do on his spelling, but, then again, so do I!)
I had never seen Frozen so Quinn reluctantly agreed we could watch that instead of her FAVORITE movie right now...Home Alone 2. She got bored with it, though, and decided to paint...herself.
What a mess!
Maegan and Uncle Kyle joined in on the fun Wednesday night, so we had breakfast together on Thursday morning.
And we tried to watch the parade in between torture sessions, that is.
Then we took some photos before heading over to Terry and Cheryl's for Thanksgiving lunch.
Deer face!
