Christmas in Hennessey

The day after Christmas was Christmas Eve game night for my side of the family. We had fun hanging out with the kids during the day, and then started Family Feud when Kyle got off work. It was a lot harder than we thought it would be. That was probably because we were all a little distracted. That's what happens when you add three kids and four dogs to the mix. Things get a little crazy! It was a fun night, though.

Quinn is great at taking pictures these days! :)

Asher was excited to show Kyle something on the iPad.

And the kids got to open one present each so they would have something to play with while the adults enjoyed a little Family Feud.

I can't remember who won, but I think Lola was the real winner. While we were distracted in the living room, she got to taste the human food left out in the kitchen. Ornery little puppy! :)

 Kyle is quite the artist!

The grandkids were so cute in their matching pajamas. Unfortunately, this is the best picture we could get of them. Someday it will be easier. Someday.

We went to bed planning to rise early the next morning to open presents with Tyrus and Lisa before they headed back to OKC. The Thunder game was that evening and an icy snow storm was on the way. Unfortunately, it got here before we expected. When we woke up, the ground was already glistening with a fresh layer of snow and sleet. So we changed plans and helped Ty and Lisa load their car instead. We sent them off on their way with wrapped presents in tow. It was such a bummer not having them there, but they got home safely, and that's all that matters.

Shortly after, the Wards arrived, and Asher and Quinn were more than ready to tear into some presents. So that's exactly what we did. We had a great time and hung around for a quick lunch before making our way back to Stillwater. We tried out H-Town Pizza, the new place in town. It was pretty good!

Good morning snuggles from Uncle Kyle before the long drive home.

Quinn had the biggest presents of anyone, and she was SO excited.

Zach and Maegan got her this tiny piano, and she LOVED it!

And it was a very Mixel Christmas for Asher. He was in heaven.

One present he wasn't excited about was this Hot Wheels track. But Kyle sure was!

Once we put it together and showed him how it worked, he changed his tune.

 Lola loved the snow!
