Christmas Weekend
I am not one to complain about anything Christmas-related, but for this post I'm making an exception. Was anyone else very annoyed by the fact that Christmas was on a weekend this year, and a Sunday at that?! With a husband who doesn't get a lot of holiday time off work, this made our multiple celebrations a little complicated. However, that's my only complaint. The rest of the holiday was absolutely fabulous because we got to do all of the things we love best: spend time with the ones we love, eat good food and laugh until our stomachs hurt.
In the interest of brevity, below is a little Christmas timeline for you with photos of our celebrations.
Dec. 23, 6:30 p.m. - Kyle gets off work and we head to Wichita to spend the night with Greg and Stacie. It was likely our last night to spend with them as couples who are married with no children. Little Henry will be joining us any day now!
Dec. 24, 11:00 a.m. - I take Kyle to the Derby Medical Center to be treated for a sinus infection. :( The doctor was a little snippy, but he got Kyle the medicine he needed, so it was well worth it. He wasn't 100% for the rest of the week, but it definitely helped him.
Dec. 24, 4:30 p.m. - Christmas with the Fox Family!
Dec. 24, 9:30 p.m. - We arrive in Hennessey just before Asher and Kyle go to bed. The siblings stay up until 2 a.m. talking about pretty much anything and everything.
Dec. 25, 7:30 a.m. - Asher wakes up and so does the rest of the house. We ate breakfast while waiting to open presents until 9:30 p.m.
Dec. 25, 3:00 p.m. - Christmas with the Taylor Family!
Dec. 25, 10:00 p.m. - We make it home just in time for Kyle to watch the news, do a word find and hit the sack. We both had to work on Monday, and we were exhausted!
Dec. 27, 2:30 p.m. - I stop by the dealership on my way to Kansas to say goodbye to Kyle.
Dec. 27, 8:30 p.m. - Mom, Dad and I arrive in Kansas. I was the only Taylor child to make it this year, which was super strange.
Dec. 28, 5:00 p.m - Christmas with the Donahue Family!
Dec. 30, 1:00 a.m. - I am home from Kansas and posting the last blog of 2011! Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Aunt Cheryl gave all 10 cousins (and their spouses) quilts she had made over the years. This is a picture with ALMOST all of us. I'm not sure we will all ever be in the same place on Christmas since life is taking us in all directions. All we can do is enjoy the time we do have together.

Landon is now just over a year old and he is SO good a playing catch. The quality of this video isn't great, but look at the arm that kid has! And it's his left arm at that! :)
Dec. 28, 5:00 p.m - Christmas with the Donahue Family!
Grandma and Grandpa got the Minute to Win It game for Christmas and we had fun playing it.
