Feels Like Fall

With the start of football season and cooler temps, it has definitely started to feel like fall around here, and you won’t find me complaining.

We hosted a watch party for the first OSU game, and Oliver was showing off his team spirit! He hated this the first time I put it on him, but he didn't seem to mind this time around.

Waiting for our guests to arrive.

Including this cutie!

We've also been spending plenty of time outside, going for long family walks.

Two weeks ago we made a trip to Rose Hill to visit the Fox side of the family and spend a little more time with Ella. We went down the night before so Kyle could ride along with Greg. It’s been a while since we’ve done that. In fact, it was the first time since we got Oliver. It was great getting some extra time with everyone, but I think it was a little too much for Oliver to handle. (He was quite a handful, chasing kittens and peeing in the house, which he RARELY does at home!)

Ella had a bit of a rough start thanks to some eating/alignment issues, but she’s turning the corner and is much more content now. She was a little fussy when we got there, but after she ate, she seemed perfectly happy. We got to cuddle until close to midnight and then it was time to catch some ZZZs. The next morning Jerilyn, Ben, Conner, and Nana and Papa came over. We sat in the sun room with the windows open enjoying the cool day and laughing at the boys. They are such a hoot. They eventually decided to move the party outside and Nana and Papa got some quality alone time with Miss Ella. She has us all wrapped around her little finger already.

 So peaceful!

These kiddos are so blessed to have grandparents who love them with all their hearts.

Greg and Stacie cleaned our their shed so there's a little more space for basketball now.

The boys had a blast driving around their vehicles.

Getting a boost from Uncle Kyle.

 So ornery!
Look at all those ruffles! :)

 Goodbye hugs.

Staying up most of the night and running around all day finally caught up to Oliver on the way home.

But he still had enough energy to supervise the car wash.

Before I knew it, we were heading back to Stillwater. I am very aware of the fact that we live close to each other compared to many families, but keeping up is challenging now that most of us have kids, work and busy schedules. I often find myself wishing the distance wasn’t so great so we could spend even more time together. Thankfully the holidays are just around the corner.
