Party Poopers

With the arrival of baby Fox literally right around the corner, we have missed out on some fun celebrations lately. But I couldn't let these milestones pass without at least documenting them here. The first was Henry's 5th birthday! It doesn't seem possible that I have another nephew crossing the 5-year-old threshold. Where did all the babies go? Henry is such a grownup these days. Stacie sent me pictures from his first basketball game just yesterday! He still loves his monster trucks and cars, and has added super heroes to the mix. That was the theme of his bowling birthday party. We were able to face time him that night. He was all excited about his gifts and said he had a great time. I don't have any pictures from the party, but here are a few from the morning of his special day. Quinn's Elsa-themed party is this afternoon. Ever since she got an Elsa dress for Christmas, she has really enjoyed playing dress-up. She turned 3 this month! I knew we p...

All Aboard the Polar Express

Image
Back in August, we learned the Polar Express was coming to Stillwater! I immediately thought of my nieces and nephews. Greg and Stacie were up for it, so we purchased our tickets and waited for Dec. 13 to get here. They wanted it to be a surprise for the kids, so they waited until we pulled up to the train station to tell them what we were doing. What surprised me about that night was how much fun Kyle had. He was in rare form that night, but it was great to see him having such a good time with the kids and entertaining us all. It was so nice to have something fun like this right here in Stillwater. If it continues, I have a feeling we might be doing this a time or two next year. :)   At dinner, Henr...

Thankful

I was extra thankful this Thanksgiving because I was able to spend a full week vacationing from work to hang out with family. My Hennessey baby shower was the weekend before and, with Zach and Maegan in town, I thought that was the perfect excuse to take a few days off. As it turns out, Maegan wasn't able to come until late Wednesday night. However, Tyrus and Lisa were in town earlier in the week, so we got lots of quality sibling time in. Below are some photos from the week.  Zach and Dad spent their mornings and evenings hunting. Fortunately, Zach got a buck while he was in town! He took it by the Wards to show them, and Quinn was very interested in it. She KEPT asking about it days later and would do her "deer face" for us, sticking her tongue out just like his was.  There is nothing that this little girl loves more than her Mommy and her Mamo. Which is wonderful, but hard for Aunt Abby! She does not get excited to see anyone who may take her out of their...
